Karuvannur bank scam; 4 key accused under police custody

Thrissur: Four key accused in Karuvannur bank fraud case have been taken to custody here on Sunday. The police nabbed the accused from a flat in Ayyanthole here. The CCTV footage recovered from a supermarket at Ayyanthole helped the police to arrest the accused.

Key accused Sunilkumar, Biju, Jils and Bijoy were taken into custody. Police will register their arrest by evening. It is learned that police already had information that the suspects are in Thrissur itself. After identifying the Rs 100 crore scam, Co-operative Registrar had dissolved the administrative panel of Karuvannur Co-operative Bank led by CPI.
