Malappuram: Omicron confirmed in Malappuram. The 36-year-old Mangalore native, who arrived from Oman on the 14th of this month, was diagnosed with the disease. He is undergoing treatment at Manjeri Medical College. He is not having any significant health problems.
There are currently eight cases of Omicron confirmed in the state. The test results of seven contacts may also be released today.
The health department has issued a stern directive as the number of Omicron cases are rising in the state. Those arriving from foreign countries must strictly adhere to self-monitoring conditions. Health Minister Veena George said that they should not visit public places or attend crowded events for 14 days for any reason.
