കോഴിക്കോട് രൂപതയ്ക്ക് അതിരൂപത പദവി; ബിഷപ് വർഗീസ് ചക്കാലയ്ക്കൽ ഇനി ആർച്ച് ബിഷപ്പ്
The Diocese of Kozhikode has been elevated to the status of an Archdiocese after 102 years. Bishop Dr. Varghese Chakkalakal has been appointed as the Archbishop. The Vatican and Kozhikode simultaneously announced the major decision, read by Mar Joseph Pamplany. Kannur and Sultanpet dioceses will now come under Kozhikode Archdiocese.
